ALL ABOUT AFRICAN

 Hello
I hope you are all doing great. I wore this outfit on my third day in Kigali, Rwanda and what a better way to take pictures in an African decorated setting. The Hotel that we put up in had all this African theme which I really loved and the paintings on the walls were so amazing that I could not stop admiring and taking pictures of them. The paintings on the walls are actually for sale but quite expensive for my budget.

Back to my outfit of that day, I put on an African inspired skirt which was custom made by a friend and a black tank top, because the weather all cold I completed the look with a thrifted blazer, a South Afrcan beaded necklace and a Maasai sandal.

WORK IT GIRL

                                                                      Happy Tuesday!
I know there is nothing happy about 'Tuesday' especially it falling at the beginning of the week which means weekend is still far but hey we got to make everyday count right? Talking of making everyday count, at one point in my life, I used to focus so much in the future that I forget to live in the present and this had a negative impact on me.

I used to share my future dreams and aspiration with this someone special and he will always listen and  kept telling me that I should take one day at a time because he thought I was over ambitions ( which was true). It took me time to realize that he was actually telling me truth and I thank him for that. Today I concentrate on living in the moment and letting God take control of everything.

On today's outfit I wore this number sometimes last week to work though I wore the top Here and the skirt Here sometimes back you can check how I styled them.

There is this quote I got from this blog Its a lovely life, they have some really beautiful quotes. "Stop waiting for Friday, for Summer, for someone to fall in love with you,for life. Happiness is achieved when you stop waiting for it and make the most of the moment you are in now."

A POP OF COLOR + SANDALS + SEQUIN

Hello

I am hoping that your week has been great and now you are all looking forward for the weekend. Thursday is my favorite day of the week simply because its a Salsa Night yay! I fell in love with salsa from day one and I have never looked back, listening to salsa music brings total happiness to my soul.

I remember some years back, anytime I loved a song from a particular community I felt like marrying someone from that community so that I would be part of it for the rest of my life, weird right, I know. This has happened to me with salsa music, Mexican songs, Nigerian traditional songs and their dance and some communities from Kenya. I guess all these was a phase and I no longer feel this way anymore, I don't know if any of you felt the same thing, I would love to hear about it.

Anywho, back to my outfit details, I got this Satchel from a random Shop in Rwanda after hunting for it for the longest time ever and to this beautiful sequin skirt, I actually did not like it the first time I saw it but my friend did unfortunately it was small for her and she pass it on to yours truly and guess what, it fitted perfectly and it only costed $4

KIGALI, RWANDA

Hello
I am sorry for being mia in the past few Months but now am back. This Month happens to be the Month that I officially started blogging though I haven't been steady but I promise I will try this coming months, time flies huh. During the the Easter Holidays my friends and I decided to go for a mini vacay to Rwanda, as of now you know how much I love travelling, I grab any chance that gives me the opportunity to explore this beautiful Universe.

There are so many things that can be done in Kigali, but because we were there for few days, we decided to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center, this is one place that you would not miss to visit while in Kigali. We paid a small fee for our entry and I paid $10 for taking pictures inside the Museum.

It was heartbreaking seeing what the Rwandese went through during the genocide but inspirational that they positively overcame it and are now a peace loving country. Below are some of the pictures I took.

THE GREEN SKATER DRESS

Happy new Month loves,

I hope your month started well just like mine. This month means so much to me as I will be expecting news that would be a determinant to my future career, plans and aspirations, let me keep my fingers cross as the bible says in Proverbs 16:9 " We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our Steps" and in Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the plans I have for you , declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future. With that said, may the will of the Lord be done.

Back to my outfit details, I wore this dress yesterday. Its one dress that can be worn to church, office, wedding and to dinner which will only need a little styling to suit this different occasions. On today's look I decided to style it to fit the office look by throwing a black coat, a pair of heels and a bag. I completed the look with a pair of Studs earrings.

MY WEEKEND AT A GLANCE

Hello loves,

I am hopping that you have had a beautiful Monday, mine was a hectic one but thank God its over. This happens to be my first post of 2015, My friend and I were having fun taking random pictures on Saturday. After checking out later that day, I loved them and decided to put it up on the blog.

This time round I braided my hair and hold it up in a bun for the first time ever (talk about overcoming our insecurities), I have always preferred rocking my box braids loose on my shoulders. I actually love this chic updo of box braids and I cant wait to rock it once again, its just very easy to maintain.

I always love eating out most of the weekends with my friends or cousins, so this past Saturday my friend asked me to join her for lunch at Keren Hotel (Juba) to try out their Ethiopian delicacy Injera which she really liked and I wasn't dissapointed either coz I enjoyed the meal.

On Sunday after church, I went for a brunch with two of my friends and I had Pasta Bolognese at Da Vinci Hotel and oh boy it was yummy.

REMINISCING MY 2013 TRIP TO DUBAI

Hey Loves
Sorry for the hiatus, I have been so lazy of late in taking pictures and I get disappointed whenever I take pics and they are all not good enough for me to upload them on the blog. Anyways today I decided to post pics of my trip to Dubai sometimes last year, it was an amazing trip and I enjoyed every seconds of my time there lol.

Dubai is such an amazing place to be and for a shopping lover like me, it was just a heaven on earth. I spent a week in Dubai and there was no single day that I failed to go for shopping and the best part was that the malls were open until past midnight. The shopping experience was splendid.

I was not able to take pics most of the days and only did that on my second last day when my friends and I went to visit the largest mall in the world, the Dubai Mall. We had gone there particularly to visit the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater zoo, The Burj Khalifa (the tallest building in the world) and to watch the Dubai Dancing Fountain.

My friends and I also went for the Dubai Desert Safari ride and had dinner in one of the camps in the desert. There are just so many activities that one can do in Dubai and I hope I would visit it again in the future and I highly recommend anyone to pay a visit to Dubai and you would not regret.
